Shiner Bock – I admit I enjoyed it when I was in Texas the other year – but once back home for whatever reason it didn’t cut the mustard – must be like Guinness – doesn’t travel well?

I just stocked up the fridge for the weekend (well actually hopefully for this weekend and the next, but you never can tell how long bottles will last). I tried to steer away from the Belgian style beer’s but failed quite badly. This weekend I will be selecting from

Affigem Triple

I got a group of single Czech beers to try as well but the names are a mystery to my brain at the moment

someone got me a gift pack a few weeks ago and I was actually surprised that they weren’t that bad
The Gooseberry and Heather ones were actually pretty drinkable
The Elderberry one was just about drinkable
The Scots Pine was like a flat raspberry drink…weird and definitely one to share around so everyone can experience the flavor (ie I couldn’t drink it all myself)

That's entirely possible. I know tons of people from Texas that rave about it, but every one I've ever had has been underwhelming, to say the least.

I've tried a fair number of brews that are top notch in one part of the country and fall flat elsewhere. Just another reason* to get transporter technology up and running.

Yeah, no, you're right. And lots of times different smaller beers go through different batches anyways and the point is it won't taste the same every time - but there are still definitely some beers you want to drink closer to the original source.

Hell yes. That's why I transport my beers with Scotty's Wine & Spirits Transporters LLC. Scotty's always adds a hint of almond.
