Once it gets used to rye, it gets lazy and creates fat. So you have to switch to ale, then to wine, then to gin. It's a juggling game. That's why all the pro drinkers are in peak condition—they know how to juggle their booze.

I remember when my kid was like 7 or something and was playing rec league soccer. At the last game of the season one parent for the opposing team bought trophies for all the kids on the team. Trophies were intentionally not given out and the team wasnt that good but they all went home with trophies and my kid was like WTF? Parents can be the worst.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑19 Jun 2019, 3:48pmWait—it isn't?

Trophies are entirely about the parents. Yet another reason why I'm glad that my kids are cats.revbob wrote: ↑19 Jun 2019, 3:53pmI remember when my kid was like 7 or something and was playing rec league soccer. Spend them savings, duh! I've actually gained a couple pounds over the last few months, so I'm cutting back a bit on my evening wine intake as it's probably my biggest source of calories. Also I just checked the scale after a few days and it says Ive lost a few lbs so Im making my way back to fighting weight. That's a damn shame. We have some damn fine local cider in these parts.

Spoiled for choice, they all sounded excellent apart from the cider with the "farm-y aroma." Not selling it well there!revbob wrote: ↑20 Jun 2019, 7:00pmThat's a damn shame. We have some damn fine local cider in these parts.

After a week (nearly) off the sauce I'm going to enjoy a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon tonight whilst listening to The Meskies. Ideal Friday.
Even better, the wine was 2 for £10, beat that Herons!
