The scale says I've gained about 10 lbs this month. I blame beer.
I'm cutting way back to see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't, I'm going back to drinking.
I think you have to switch booze. It keeps your body confused. Once it gets used to rye, it gets lazy and creates fat. So you have to switch to ale, then to wine, then to gin. It's a juggling game. That's why all the pro drinkers are in peak condition—they know how to juggle their booze.

It sounds like you're explaining to a 5 year old why his participation trophy is better than the other kids participation trophy.

I remember when my kid was like 7 or something and was playing rec league soccer. At the last game of the season one parent for the opposing team bought trophies for all the kids on the team. Trophies were intentionally not given out and the team wasnt that good but they all went home with trophies and my kid was like WTF? Parents can be the worst.

Also I just checked the scale after a few days and it says Ive lost a few lbs so Im making my way back to fighting weight. Ill have a few beers tonight to celebrate.

Trophies are entirely about the parents. Yet another reason why I'm glad that my kids are cats.

Spend them savings, duh! I've actually gained a couple pounds over the last few months, so I'm cutting back a bit on my evening wine intake as it's probably my biggest source of calories.

I blame cider and black coffee for the state of my teeth. They're so stereotypically British.

That's a damn shame. We have some damn fine local cider in these parts.

Spoiled for choice, they all sounded excellent apart from the cider with the "farm-y aroma." Not selling it well there!

After a week (nearly) off the sauce I'm going to enjoy a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon tonight whilst listening to The Meskies. Ideal Friday.

Even better, the wine was 2 for £10, beat that Herons!

It’s Miller Lite season for me. It’s funny, I think Bud Light is disgusting but that Miller... boy howdy.
