Looking at her filmography, the only two films I've seen her in are Rules of Attraction and The Illusionist. She was serviceable in both, but nothing very standout. Eye candy, mostly.

Right now I'm reading a bunch of comics and have a whole stack of partially read books. I am working my way through Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials series and enjoying it quite a bit. I recently read the first three books of the Nightwatch series and thought they were kind of fun, light reading.

After I finish up some more books, I'm gonna start on War & Peace.

I'd like to read one of Stephen Dobyns's novels. He's one of my five favorite poets--his collection Cemetery Nights has some of the bleakest poems I've ever read. Unsurprisingly, he also writes crime/detective fiction.

Listening to: Mitchell Zuckoff, Ponzi's Scheme, about the namesake of the common pyramid scheme. About two-thirds thru. Quite entertaining and informative. Amusing, too, in how quaint and moral the expectations of businessmen were back in the 20s.

Reading: John E. Wells, 1688: A Global History, a snapshot of a single year across the world. So-so history, rather dry, and lacks a theme tying things together.

I blasted my way through a second hand copy of Naked Lunch by William S. Boroughs tonight. I really enjoyed his writing.

Front Pages from around the World, nice little tool, shame it isn't a bit more comprehensive, nothing much happens in Africa it seems..

Hey nerds. Is Lovecraft's ReAnimator a novel or a short story or what? And are there sequels? Thanks in advance, and one week of no wedgies.

Short story. Lovecraft wasn't really a novelist.

His one "novel" is really an overlong short story.

So is there a "greatest hits" comp, or something with the ones that have been been made into movies in one collection (reanimator, from beyond, dagon, etc)

Library of America should have what you're looking for.

p.s. Dagon is named after one story, but actually based on Shadow Over Innsmouth.

OK, I mainly just wanna read ReAnimator, but I figured if it's a collection, I'd want those other ones too.

Word of warning...they aren't that similar.

But, they are pretty rad.
