well, I saw yesterday a real interview with Ronaldinho Gaucho (Barcelona) and I was shocked: he was so fat that I thought they were joking using a doublé...

England who.....

Could not care less if England never one another game in my life. I'll watch if its on but wouldn't cross the street to watch a game to be honest. World cup / Euro champ I get caught up in the fever about the tournament not the fact that England are playing. Actually (I know this is an oxymoron as if it happened it would mean we had shit players) I would be happy with Liverpool players not playing Internation games, to much risk of injury when playing a game for the someone other than who pays the wages.

Too many Liverpool players think to highly of there International staatus (step forward Mr.Gerrard) while others seem to be a little more clued up in the opinion of a vast majority of Scousers (Torres...and in a way Carragher but he has his England resaurant etc).

Never understood and never will any fan who holds England in higher regard than their team regardless of the real likelyhood of that team winning a major trophy. I'd give up if I couldn't get that belief at the start of the season.

101 I think certain clubs from certain parts of England also have different feelings. I remember all the shit Everton fans used to get whenever we spotted an Everton flag at an International. Ten years ago you woul not spot an England shirt at a Liverpool or Everton game...these days I'll bet you do. I think I went the match in the last proper era of real people going. In so many ways I'm glad I'm 6,00 miles away these days as it would depress me so much forking out to watch games these days, too many changes and not many for the better.

Yeah it seems we need to beat England first in order to win anything. So this Euro was cursed for us from the start.

Seriously, I hope they'll return to form soon. I'm sure the support will grow if the results improve, like over here in the last 2 years.

If you're English that's a shameful statement. You sound like a typical jaded 'Big Four' fan.
I've supported Sunderland and England for 30 years without any kind of reward. It's the possibility of winning something that keeps most football fans going.

Would you rather Sunderland won the Premiership or England Euro 08 ???

I would rather it be both, i've supported Man utd since I was six years old but i'm sick of Man utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal, I would sincerely love to see one of the smaller clubs win the title and put back some magic and romance into a very predictable league and prove you can win by playing football with heart and passion and not just care about how big your bonus might be that week.

Sunderland won the Premiership, but I'm very passionate about England too. I can't imagine how good it would feel to win the World Cup, I'll keep dreaming.

I'm from Liverpool, that by a querk of fate happens to be in England. I'm not jaded in the slightest in that sense. I support Liverpool not England. Ask 95% of Scousers this question and see how many give one iota about England.

I moved away five years ago and so often get asked "so where abouts are you from" my response is always the same "Liverpool" I don't say England ever, I consider myself from Liverpool, United Kingdon - not Liverpool England, never have and never will. Now over 50% of the time people think I am either 1)Irish. 2) Scottish 3)Australian/New Zealand. 4) English. so my response is not to someone asking where in England I am from.Unless you grew up in a city like Liverpool you wouldnot get that and I would not expect you to. But please it might be a shameful statment to you, personally I am proud to be from Liverpool, england does litle to make me proud thank you very much.
