I like mine on a long flight back to Tampa Bay. In fairness they have kept their distance.101Walterton wrote:How do you like your Glazer.Marky Dread wrote:

Everyone else has released a statement so here is mine!
Happy LVG got sacked but should have happened 6 months ago.
Don't want Mourihno.
Will support Mourihno and hope he proves me wrong.

Re: Association Football Thread
To me, Brendan Rodgers going to Celtic is actually the more interesting managerial move so far.

He has his moments I guess. I'm sure he'll be part of the cull.101Walterton wrote:Best get rid of Valencia then!!Marky Dread wrote:Here's my statement.101Walterton wrote:Everyone else has released a statement so here is mine!

He had his moments when he used to hit the bye line however now all he does is stop, check inside and pass back.Marky Dread wrote:He has his moments I guess. Correct, I'm no fan of his sideways passing for sure. LVG really killed any directness in that team though.101Walterton wrote:He had his moments when he used to hit the bye line however now all he does is stop, check inside and pass back.Marky Dread wrote:He has his moments I guess. I like Celtic - the politics are right - and my limited experience watching the sport is that I don't totally get Rodgers appeal. I get that he has past success, but I only know him from his final days with Liverpool, which were awful. I'm interested to see if he's a "get" for the team or if it turns out to be a mistake.Marky Dread wrote:Interesting how my young Flex?Flex wrote:To me, Brendan Rodgers going to Celtic is actually the more interesting managerial move so far.
Man U has too much money, too many resources, for Mourinho to be really disastrous out of the gate. I think it's basically a given that he'll be someone you want for two years and probably not much longer.

Re: Association Football Thread
It is hard to judge success at Celtic whilst they play in the Scottish league. I expect he will win the league (even I could do that) therefore the only real test is the Champions League and when you win most weeks without trying to hard it is very difficult to be competitive when you are suddenly up against real opposition.Flex wrote:I like Celtic - the politics are right - and my limited experience watching the sport is that I don't totally get Rodgers appeal. Re: Association Football Thread
Yeah. I mean, it would be cool to see Celtic make some deep runs in the CL, but I'm just not sure Rodgers is the guy to help make that happen. But maybe he is! As you say, there's a structural issue going against Celtic, but maybe he's a difference maker. I dunno, as I said, I find it interesting.101Walterton wrote:It is hard to judge success at Celtic whilst they play in the Scottish league.
