Sad to say i have only just learned about the phenomenon that was Beverly Ranger. What a truly incredible and inspirational story.

Amazing stuff.
Shades of Diego there, I'd say. Enjoyed reading the below account of her career. Seems she was so multi talented, Billie Jean King tried to coax her down the tennis path and she subsequently achieved a very high standard in US seniors tennis after her football career ended. Gem of a story really.

Agreed an amazing athlete. 😎
Hello,

I thought I knew a pretty fair amount about women's football - but this is new to me. You can always learn more - thanks for sharing! Great athlete and great story.

Hello,

I'm still trying to not be a Man City fan but De Bruyne and Haaland are making it tough to dislike the bunch.

Hello,

I'll own up to that - but it's hard to support what's going on now - just get Frank to run the season out - then the sale starts, then the buying starts, then hope springs, then?

We can blame injury (Konte, Mendy et al.) but really it comes down to poor leadership above the coaching level.

I'll go see them play Wrexham in Chapel Hill this Summer. Who knows what they will look like?

Todd Boehly has spent 600m already. I hope he has deeper pockets. Chelsea are a complete mess and a shambles at the moment. If/when Pochetino comes in he will inherit that and it will not be a quick fix. Tottenham are in a similar position with another moron running the club.

I know this all too well being a Manchester United fan (since 6 years old) how the Glazer's have wrecked my club. But at least Erik ten Hag is working well.

Hello,

Man City is sooo good right now. This is a different level - first the EPL rundown and now owning Real Madrid.

Good stress reliever makes a lot of sense to me but I'd want to know where the guy on the right is going with the latex glove
