My favourite Irving story is the time he was representing himself in his libel case against Penguin books and inadvertently addressed the sitting judge as "Mein Fuhrer". Judgement was not found in his favour in that particular incidence!

Very sad news. Only knew him through Curb but it was an amazing run, incredible on screen energy with Larry. There was a point between series' where he seemed to age quite dramatically which I assume was down to deteriorating health. Rip

I found it a mixed bag, he was excellent on Curb. But like Low Down said the deterioration over the years got pretty dramatic towards the end

Yeah, I'm with you. Not wishing to speak ill of the dead, but I just never found him funny, either as a stand-up or comedic actor. He'd been ill for some time, tho, I think?

Same here. I never really liked him in anything though he was in stuff I enjoyed.
