Sweet action for kids 'n' cretins. Marjoram and capers.

Okay, finally some good news:

Great, great extension. This is what teams need to do, lock up talent early and pay the people you're willing to take the risk on. Bello was a very bright spot during last season and I think he has the kind of profile to get better and stay real good for a good amount of time. If you can't land the unicorns like Yamamoto (and really, even if you can), this is the kind of stuff you need to be doing. Now let's see Casas get locked up and all of a sudden the building blocks for another run or two start feeling a lot more solid (even if we're still in the muck this season).
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

From what I see there's still a little hope
That's if we don't hang from too much rope

And a phone call is being placed to Scott Boras about Blake Snell …

"Wait for a few of the marquee franchises who are supposedly 'done spending' to see which of their pitchers will have their arms fall off in spring training" may be a pretty good strategy for Boras moving forward. If it works, that is. High risk/high reward for the client, I'd think

Especially because there is probably some desperation in the Yankees' case after last year. They may only have Soto this year and how long before Judge hits his breaking-down phase? I'd be amazed if, assuming Cole needs TJ, they don't blink.
