First they get Ohtani and now Glasnow. Glasnow is due to make 25M this upcoming season. Can you imagine if Steve Cohen did this? Everyone freaked out at what he tried to do and the money he spent last off-season, what are those people saying now?
Let's not forget that Glasnow is nasty. He does not stay healthy with any kind of consistency but when he is healthy enough to pitch, he's downright nasty.

I wonder if the Dodgers will leave any top players for the other teams.
I want to see the outrage at all this money the Dodgers are spending like there was last year with Cohen.
:crickets:

And why the hell are the Dodgers doing this and Steve Cohen is NOT?
From what I see there's still a little hope
That's if we don't hang from too much rope

I think everyone hopes that Mets '23 is what greets Dodgers '24 (and '25 and '26 …).

Step one is proving he can bend over to tie his shoes. Step two is cleaning all the pigeon shit off his shoulders.

I don't know, there's something gratifying about following a hopeless ballclub.

There's a team up in New England that thinks it might be what you're looking for …

Please forgive my french but the fucking pitch clock bullshit has got to go before MLB turns into the NFL with too many ridiculous and bullshit rules. How long before MLB decides that once a game reaches 3 hours in length teams must then do a home run derby to decide a winner of the game. You just know that bullshit is around the corner. Ugh.

"Major League Baseball Players Association head Tony Clark said the player representatives voted against the proposal, adding: "As they made clear in the Competition Committee, players strongly feel that, following last season's profound changes to the fundamental rules of the game, immediate additional changes are unnecessary and offer no meaningful benefits to fans, players, or the competition on the field.""

The runners lane change is great, the old rule is/was kinda weird and awkward. The timing I don't think they need to mess with further, but I don't think pitchers really used that much time anyways so I don't think it'll really be noticable.

If I hear ONE person tell me Steve Cohen's spending is ruining the sport .....

Word is Yamamoto got 12 years 325 million. Supposedly the Mets offered him that deal and the Dodgers matched it so off he goes to LA. Incredible.

No, what this shows is how horseshit the different scumfucking lowlife billionaire owners cries of how they're too poor to pay top dollar for talent is. Every franchise in baseball could carry these sorts of contracts with the largess that all owners in baseball command, but they've bilked and brainwashed the consumer into believing there's nobility in sacrifice (for the fan and the player, while the owner pockets your cash) and that the True Fan is the one who enjoys eating shit sandwich after shit sandwich while the vampiric leeches of baseball ownership extract all the money they can from you while fielding the cheapest on field teams they think they can possibly get away with. Fuck all of them into the sun.

Yes, I've been drinking.

I choose to be optimistic: YY will be a dud; and Shohei will never pitch again, he'll break his hamate bone in spring training and people will try to translate "Mendoza line" into Japanese.
