That's terrible. I keep seeing these crowds protesting and am worried about what's next. Can we assume your kid is on the rebound and ok?

Yeah, she's doing better thabls for checking. Had a scare last week because apparently blood clots is a potential side effect and she had some chest pains. There's a test for clots and it does have a lot of false positives so last Friday at 10pm she was headed to the ER for an MRI. No clots as it turned out but just some inflammation. She's also stressed by being one of 2 black people in her workplace with a bunch of clueless and/or conservative/racist white people who are talking about how "all lives matter ".

God, this is the last thing she needs right now. Fuck her coworkers. Glad it was not blood clots. And I'm so sorry about your friend.

Just got word that my usual comic shop is closing down. It was a great comfort to go there every Sunday before horrible, horrible band practice. There's not even little comforts anymore.

I was at a demonstration today and people were wearing masks and mostly keeping safe distances.

Some asshole owners at a local sandwich shop made some statements in front of customers about how protesters should be shot and "people don't know how bad blacks really are until they live around them."

This really doesn't surprise:
