California Question

Post by 101Walterton »

Has anyone ever been or know anything about a town in California called Chino?
I’ve Googled it etc.. but what is it really like on a social level to live or go to High School there?

That’s LA area and way inland (ie hot and probably suburban and bland). Driven through but never stopped there. Tep probably knows more.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Monkey Assistant is from Chino and he went to Chino High. He says the kids that go to Chino Hills High are snobs.

What about Chino High? Is it tough, dangerous, gangs, crime etc?

I'll get it straight from the monkey's mouth.

OK, I was mistaken, Monkey went to Ayala, and Chino High was their rival. Chino Hills High didn't exist at this time, this is 25 years ago.
Rather than be helpful, Monkey referred me to wiki

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chino_Hig ... -_g3YOGwT8

There doesn't seem to be a ton of info, looks like they're 75% latino, dropout rate is less than 10%, and they've graduated 7 NFL players and the "hottest weather girl" of 2006.
