My mom has somehow become a Trump person. It’s awful. But yeah my dad was communist. Sort of Trot but a lot of Maoism in there.
I don't understand how so many women are Trump supporters. I know some of the women in my family voted for him. I just don't fucking get it.
My aunt is a crazy Trump supporter. But she lives in Texas. My mom has become a rabid liberal, which is hilarious.

Well, this isn't a North American meet up post, but I didn't want to start a separate thread.

Are there still any IMCTers living in Manchester, U.K.? I think I recall at least one.

I'm heading there on a work trip, arriving this Monday the 19th, and I'll have one full day free to tour the city.

Would love to visit with any Mancunians who post here.

My itinerary, with or without an IMCT local guide, is to visit some places where Madchester music history was made, such that remains.

Is there at least a placard where The Factory and The Haçienda used to be?

And doesn't either Hooky or Barney now have a part or full ownership in a new club?

Anyway, for sure I will take the 20-minute train ride to pay homage to Ian Curtis's grave in Macclesfield.

So, anyone on this board living in the Manchester area willing to meet up?

So the meet up happened, after a false start when I went to the wrong hotel. A very enjoyable evening, Spiff is a great bloke.

Hi all,

Yes, this meet up took place, and I got to spend 3-4 hours Monday evening having great conversations with the awesome laxman during dinner and the walk to and from the restaurant and my hotel.

During the to and from bit, I got a dose of Manchester history and culture from the very knowledgeable laxman, who would make a good tour guide.

We only took two photos, and I'm attaching the other one below.

Honestly, all the gushing in this thread about what a good bloke I am has got me blushing as if I were buck nekkid in public! :scared:
