Think of him quite regularly. Gone way too soon. A genuine top geezer. Here's to you mate.

PH would have been 62 according to the birthday thingy at the bottom of the page. Gone but never forgotten. It'll be ten years this year, I believe.

That just doesn't seem possible. He was such a wonderful, kind man.

I will forever know rugby fans as "the egg-chasing rugger types" thanks to Hayes. Miss that guy a lot.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Such a lovely, modest, no-bullshit dude. Too short a life for that fine a spirit.

Also makes me remember the first notable board member who left too soon, Nikola "Hellboy" Acin.

When I met him in 2010 (I think) at one point he produced some anti-Thatcher stickers he'd printed out for the occasion (which was a BAD reunion gig).

I can't believe it's ten years either. Time is accelerating.

I think he passed pre-board crash. So I only overlapped a year or two with him but he did make a strong, positive impression with me.
