Didn't see/hear it, but that's weird that Eck would snipe at a pitcher's enthusiasm on the mound. He was like that when he played—he was such an outlier back then for chirping and fistpumping—and I can't recall him barking about that stuff before. Chalk it up to being a homer and being grouchy about a lacklustre Sox team, perhaps.
