I'm not sure how long the Yankees can maintain this but I have to believe they will be better when some of the injured players return.

You'd think, but there could be periods of rust and perhaps continued nagging injuries. The kick in the nuts would be getting back all the parts and then the team performing less than its sum. Not that I think that's likely. It's been damned impressive how well they've played despite having an all-star team on the IL. It reminds me of the 2013 Red Sox, who were blessed with "deep depth"—a guy goes down and the next guy steps and plays superbly.

Way too many of these pitchers seem to think a batter should express some regret for hitting a home run. Hang your head, young man, for you've made a pitcher look less godlike. Given that you've accomplished a remarkable feat against someone whose chief weapon is intimidation—I could throw this thing at your head—celebrate all you want.

Yeah maybe you strike him out instead and if you can't get him out it's on you
