Interesting rallying cry for the season, Mr. Boone. I'm intrigued to see whether it catches on.

Jeets names new "V.P. of Being Witheringly Thin-skinned Ninny". Because apparently that's a market inefficiency of something.

Machado to the Padres. Wouldn't you prefer to take a little less to play on a good/winning team?

I don't follow the Padres closely, but maybe they're a year or two away from challenging? Regardless, I'm a bit bummed that the Yankees didn't get him because he smells of free agent bust to me. A shit ton of talent, but his attitude and habits to this point make me think he's going to dog it now that he's got the big deal.

Their farm system is stacked. And those graduates should be coming up in 2 or 3 years when a lot of the current big teams right now (Sox, Yanks, Astros) might be starting to decline. If the Padres can sign an ace in the next few years they could be major contenders...Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑19 Feb 2019, 1:57pmI don't follow the Padres closely, but maybe they're a year or two away from challenging? They will piss it away, on field mediocrity is their stock in trade.Boddington wrote: ↑19 Feb 2019, 2:41pmTheir farm system is stacked. Machado will never play in the postseason unless he gets traded to another team.

Ouch. Their winningest manager, Bochy, has an overall losing record with the club.revbob wrote: ↑19 Feb 2019, 2:56pmThey will piss it away, on field mediocrity is their stock in trade.Boddington wrote: ↑19 Feb 2019, 2:41pmTheir farm system is stacked.
