yep and the contrast can be quite stark.

Oh and this thread sucks balls.
I agree, as long as they're unshaved balls.

Haven't got any teeth they all fell out back when Phil Collins was good.

I've heard that and tried it from time to time but never noticed an improvement. In principle, it's such a mayo thing to do to liquor. I can appreciate other things to add that have flavour on their own—Coke, lemon, etc—but water … it does nothing but dilute the existing flavour.

I dilutes the alcohol not the flavor. Anything over 81 proof is just for getting drunk.

I usually stop at two drinks to make sure I don't get drunk. They're super stiff drinks, but just two.

The father of a friend in high school only drank liquor if mixed with Coke, so much so that his word for Coke was mix. As in even just drinking plain Coke he called it mix. In retrospect, I can see that he was a crazed alcoholic.

Rye and Coke's only virtue is if you want to get drunk quick—so easy to power gulp drinks. No surprise that once I started to drink more sensibly (i.e., post-20s), I abandoned any kind of mix.

Jack Daniels and Coke is great, but I like to let the coke stand a bit.

I used to love Captain Morgan and Coke, but I just prefer having a Coke these days.
