Hazelnut is vile stuff.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Hoyli Gooddog. My wife hates hazelnut. I like it fine. I can live without it, but it’s fine.

My position. Haven't had it in years but liked it when I last did, yet don't get the insane devotion it gets.

We can listen to Billy Joel and not eat hazelnut. When I get bored, I can hang out with you and not eat cilantro and listen to post-grunge.

I've abstained from chocolate for 5 weeks, I'd give Hooky's left nutella for some now.

By far the worst of those hateful Lindor truffles is the hazlenut variety. I found it so traumatic that I could rid myself of the memory of the taste for two weeks.

We were so poor when I was young that five of us lived in a baked bean tin in the middle of the road. As soon as me dad got a pay rise we moved on up to a carboard box...oh the luxury.Heston wrote: ↑17 Aug 2018, 6:13pmMe neither, it was was jam or sugar in my household.101Walterton wrote: ↑17 Aug 2018, 6:03pmAs a kid I never had Nutella or peanut butter so now as an adult I don’t eat either.

I realised how Monty Python it sounded (and nearly added the bit about licking moisture off the roads for drinking water) but it was actually true when I were a boy, young lad.Marky Dread wrote: ↑17 Aug 2018, 6:18pmWe were so poor when I was young that five of us lived in a baked bean tin in the middle of the road. I didn't even know Nutella existed until college. Was it always in the states or was there just a big push around 2003?

I'd never heard of it in the UK until the early 80s. I think it had a big launch over here because one minute it wasn't there, then it was absolutely everywhere.
