We have a cherry tree out front. This year I made a low sugar jam with whiskey. It’s delightful on sharp cheddar.
That does sound good.

More seriously, I do have a lot more food spoilage down here (even with air conditioning), and the threat of mold is ever-present.
Super true. We learned to buy fruit and veggies in small quantities because of spoilage.
Dont they have fridges, we keep all our fruit and veg (except bananas and potatoes) in the fridge.
Humidity and refrigerated fruit sucks.
You don't put fruit in the fridge??
Count me as another who hates cold fruit.

Trotsky, Mao, and Castro did that, too.

It seems to spoil quicker despite the refrigeration. I suspect it’s the humidity.

Certain fruits actually do better out of a fridge.

Our homegrown strawberries barely made it home from the allotment. Some of that is cos I kept eating them on the walk, but there you go.

I cannot keep strawberries fresh anywhere in my house. I might as well fucking freeze them because if they’re in my fridge for more than 13 minutes, half of them are rotten.

Oh, I’m down 16 pounds as of today. I’m finally at the weight I was in 2006 when I said “holy shit this is as fat as I’ve ever been.”

Yeah, I keep certain ones out but I make sure to eat them quickly.

I'll store fruit (except bananas) in the fridge until I'm ready to eat it. I won't touch whatever it is until it's room temp.

Thanks! I’ll be pleased to be another 15 down, as that was roughly the weight I sat at for about 3-4 years and most of my clothes I own fit best at that weight.

I’ll be ecstatic to drop another 15, as that would be the ideal weight for my height.
