No that would mean two bottoms. Think of Donald Trump and Harvey Weinstein and you'll be close very close.

Acid reflux/gerd is often a side effect of weight gain.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑14 Jun 2018, 4:40pmI've heard the same thing about cider vinegar as a magic slimming agent. I will give it a try. I do have to bring up another old guy thing, acid re-flux.Marky Dread wrote: ↑14 Jun 2018, 4:32pmA tip you might try BB. Drink a glass of lemon juice about half an hour before breakfast each day. It tastes like crap but it works.
Ive cut way back on rice, bread and pasta and a little on beer.

We got one of these which has been great. Banana and strawberries with some yogurt is a great breakfast.

Re: Middle age health thread for fatties
Forgive me if this was discussed earlier in the thread (I've been slammed at work and haven't had much time for browsing), but I've been reading a lot of articles about exercise not really being all that effective in weight loss, that it really is mostly a reduction in calories. Most people that have any time to exercise aren't able to burn more than like 150 calories a day, which is pretty much just a handful of chips ("crisps"). Of course, exercise of any kind is better than none, but it doesn't help as much as people think. Does anyone else have any insight on this?

Yeah it really come down to calories in vs. calories out. Exercise is of course good and necessary in its own right but for losing weight its pretty much about counting calories. How much you intake and how much you burn. You need about 2000 (for women) to 2500 (for men) per day to maintain your weight. Obviously certain factors raise or lower those numbers a bit.Kory wrote: ↑15 Jun 2018, 4:52pmForgive me if this was discussed earlier in the thread (I've been slammed at work and haven't had much time for browsing), but I've been reading a lot of articles about exercise not really being all that effective in weight loss, that it really is mostly a reduction in calories. My recent snack idea, plain greek yogurt with a little maple syrup and some granola and or blueberries.
