Holy crap. Very glad she's safe. Those innocuous choices that we make that turn out to be momentous.

Thanks. Yep life is constant sliding doors.
Ironic that that the 3 passengers were at a work conference for a company that makes orthopedic surgery equipment and body parts.

A friend of mine once told me about driving in the US South one time—Mississippi or Arkansas—and being passed by a car. Like, one minute later, that car was destroyed in a multiple-car collision. All kinds of scenarios race thru the mind—if not for that car, would they have been in the accident? If they'd been going faster, would that guy not have passed and then been creamed? It wasn't a close call for my buddy, but close enough to consider the possibilities of slightly different choices.

Yikes! Glad to hear she’s okay. I’ve often caught myself pondering just what a roll of the dice really is. Who knows how many times we’ve averted disaster without knowing it.

Thanks guys. Yes bit of a close call, one of her colleagues not too flash and has a few broken bones. Makes you realise how much fate plays a part in our fragile existence.

Scary stuff. The people on board must be lucky to be alive.

Holy shit, pleased everyone's relatively ok.
I just polished off some Low Country shrimp & grits and a mess of collards. That's a hell of a strain on the arm.

Anyone else have a sliding soors moment?

Flex probably knows of this incident - back in 1985 or 86, my dad and I were skiing in Keystone, CO. We were going to go ski a run at North Peak (the "back bowl" of Keystone) and then go have lunch at the summit. We decided to have lunch first. During lunch, the bull wheel on the chairlift bringing people up from the bottom of North Peak collapsed and flung passengers into the air (one person died later, but dozens were injured). We would have been on the lift if we hadn't decided to have lunch first.
