Australian baseball is confusing.

It was a fun experience but a bit weird in that these are guys who would like to play MLB I'm guessing but are like 24 to 27yo and none of the pitchers ever clocked over 90mph. A beautiful ball park though.

Pretty sure New Jersey is in the Can-Am League, along with Ottawa. I've gone to maybe four games here since they started. Odd mix of, yeah, 27 years olds and 18 year old Caribbean guys. There's something really special about watching those guys, tho. It's likely as far as any of them will go, so this is their show. Mind you, me being an old guy who is envious of them all the same might rose up my glasses.

Yes this is that same league. I do admire that they are still trying. I've been meaning to make a game for years, but it never worked out. My son came along and tolerated it. He takes after his mom when it come to baseball.

The Boss is always willing to go to ball games with me even tho she doesn't care about baseball. She likes people watching and getting me out of the house is enough of a challenge that she can't pass up the chance of doing something together.

Right now, in the NL, the *combined* gap in all three divisions between first and second place is 2 games. Woo doggies, pennant races all over the dang place.
