It just makes me want to have Rheingold which I never have. I fee like I’m missing out.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑18 Sep 2018, 7:35pmOne of my favourite baseball quotes: "The key to being a good manager is keeping the people who hate me away from those who are still undecided."

When the Sox and Yanks fans yell in unison it sounds like, “Let’s go Ranksoxees!”.

I was amused on the weekend when Mets and Red Sox fans put aside the game on the field and united in a lusty "Yankees suck" chant.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑18 Sep 2018, 10:09pmWhen the Sox and Yanks fans yell in unison it sounds like, “Let’s go Ranksoxees!”.

I love the Mets. So, Red Sox fans before 21st c. success shifted us into a species of Yankees fan?BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑19 Sep 2018, 9:24amI love the Mets. Ask around. The Cubs are getting there too.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑19 Sep 2018, 9:42am

When I lived in Queens it was just a 15 minutes subway ride to New Shea and you could get into a game for $20. Hop into Donovan's Pub for a few pops on the way in and I'd have a pretty good night for under $50. It was hard not to fall for the lovable Mets.

I'm definitely at the stage of life that I could enjoy a complete fuck-up of a team. If Montreal gets a team, I'd be good with them Mets-ing it up as long as it's joyfully done.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑19 Sep 2018, 9:49amAsk around. Re: MLB 2018
I was in a fallow period of following baseball outside of October back then. From around '89 until '97 or so (shortly after Nomar showed up), I just wasn't into following any sports. Catching a game when Nomar and Pedro were playing—I'm assuming it was against the Jays—rekindled my interest. Plus the Internet made it easier to follow.
