Omitting the unfunny practical joke of the Bobby Valentine season, the last three Red Sox managers have gone to the WS in their first year.
I'm amazed that they went undefeated on the road against two teams that could reasonably have won those series. And I still think that, top to bottom, Houston is the better team. Stunned by that. Not quite like it was an upset, but that pretty much everything Cora did worked out.
If it's the Dodgers, I can easily hope for annihilating the Machados and scary hillbilly ginger third basemen. If it's the Brewers, it'd be harder to root against the opposition, but a lot easier to take losing the WS.
