Guys, you can be open and honest, you secretly love the Red Sox. It's okay to admit it. You're all rooting for Boston, it's fine.
They're like teenagers unwilling to ask out their crush, but still can't help but sneak peaks in the middle of class. We won't reject you. Promise.

Not gonna lie, as a Cubs fan, this postseason has been fraught with teams that I either hate or am technically rivals with. Ready for a different season.
Me too, and now whenever I'm mad I can call my manager Brad Assface.

I regret to inform you that your team has developed an assmass. The prognosis is not good.

wait, why do cubs fans hate the red sox? I mean, I get hating them in general, but I think I missed the memo where there's a specific cubs fan hatred of the club.

Weird fact I picked up on SoSH: When Boston's been in the WS, they've either won it (8 times) or lost in seven (4 times). Victory or close but not quite.

Not especially weird fact I picked up on Wikipedia: If the Sox win the WS, they'll be tied for third overall with the A's. Despite that 86 year gap. The Cardinals have 12 wins and the Yankees 568165 wins. Seriously, the Yankees crazy dominance in various decades so skews things that teams like the Red Sox and A's can still be in the top five despite long stretches of craptasticary.

Only ONE team can have a ridiculously outdated dump for a stadium. ONE!

Hey, I ain't gonna defend any of that from a “woe is us” perspective. I've said many times that I ain't ever gonna complain about the Red Sox for the rest of my life. Gravy is gravy and losses are shrugs. If they're a fun team, that's good enough for me. Hell, in the likelihood of the Yankees winning in the next few years, I'll be congratulating Ratty, revbob, and Mimi. They back Satan's bowels, but I'll be happy for them. Same with the assmass Angels.

Oh, nothing specific. Literally everyone hates the Red Sox now.

(Honestly, “fraught” doesn’t mean 100%: I was referring to the Dodgers and Astros, who I despise, and Milwaukee, whose fan base really wants to be our rivals so very much)

It genuinely sucks that the Red Sox have such a broadly likeable team.

Flex is unlikeable, but he's no celebrity.
