Dolores O’Riordan dead, aged just 46. Always hits with a jolt at that age. Not everyone loved her voice but I was a fan, Cranberries at their best were a slick outfit.

Wow, she had a nice, unique voice and I def enjoyed some songs on the radio in the 90s.

Agreed. They had some good tunes. Just saw this come across the wires. 46 is way too young.

I thought Linger was pretty good, that's shocking news. Pretty sudden as well by all accounts.

Wow. Some solid singles but the Cranberries never really grabbed me. Her vocals on this Jah Wobble song are great, tho.

I love the debut album. It’s a bit 90s dated perhaps but no less quality for that. Linger was never my favorite though. I rate Dreams as the most perfect pop song I’ve ever heard, her voice is especially stunning in that song.

Seemed like a fine band - I think I have their big album in the collections somewhere. Great voice, shockingly young age to pass away.

The band cancelled some recent dates due to her having severe back pain.

Maybe her death was caused by opioids prescribed for that pain?

So sad. I was never a huge fan but she had an incredible voice and they definitely had some gems.

I just read it was a fentanyl overdose and police are treating her death as a suspected suicide. Very, very sad.

Not sure if there are any fellow racing fans out there, but Dan Gurney passed away on Sunday. One of the best ever. Masterful car control. The only driver to ever win a Formula 1 race in a car of his own design. He pioneered the “rear” engine car at Indianapolis. He won Le Mans in 1967 co-driving with A.J. Foyt. He was the only driver the great Jim Clark ever feared on the track. He later became an influential car builder. Just an amazing guy and a true hero for generations of fans and drivers.
