Those Supes movies were early loves for me, she's the standard Lois Lane in my head. Looking at her filmography, she remained a steady actor up to the present.

She ended up being one of those famous examples of how mental illness can completely derail a person's life. Scary how one's brain can turn against you and wreck your existence.

I always knew she'd get back together with John Heard.

She and Reeve are still “my” Lois and Clark.

Composer Glenn Branca has died.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

He wasn't that old. Was he sick? I don't know anything of his after the New York no wave period, but his stuff from that period is sublime. Love love love the Theoretical Girls disc.

Ugh. Not that any cancer would be pleasant, but that sounds nasty.

Tom Wolfe.

The Right Stuff has always been a favorite of mine (being somewhat of a space geek).

I've also always loved this quote: “The Beatles want to hold your hand, but the Stones want to burn down your town.”

Love the movie, was less keen on the book (rambles too much for my taste).

I’m more of a George Plimpton man to be honest.

Wolfe was my college graduation speaker. They made him a white designer cap-and-gown. I vaguely remember the speech being very interesting and less cliche than most commencement speaker pap, but fuck if I remember the actual content. I got so trashed the night before I was still intoxicated during the ceremony and hadn't yet proceeded to hangover.

Your pro-falconry stance has long been noted.
