He blows. He’s the Doors of modern art.

I like him. I think he's more like Hawkwind.

You can think what you want about him conceptually, but in technical terms, he's completely unmatched.

For some reason, one of the two main Dali museums in the world is in the shitty part of Florida (which is 99% of Florida) where my aunt and uncle live. It's a nice visit, so I'm cool with Dali. Plus he partially inspired the best Pixies song.
Oh, here's a photo of me outside of said museum:

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Emotionally, I am kind of indifferent (I'm an abstract expressionist girl), but intellectually, I know he's remarkable.

If we really want to talk about shitty, overrated artists, we can discuss Matisse or Monet.

I don't think I'm art-smart enough to not like any of those guys.

I grew up in that shitty part of Florida just across the bay and the old Dali museum was a regular stop for me, loved it. The new building really does the collection justice.
