Sigh.
On the spectrum of offensiveness, this is relatively low: he likely is just not plugged in and is getting fed shitty conservative news talking points. Still disappointing (if not surprising, as the headline alludes).

Exactly disappointing but not unexpected.

Awful, awful news. He was my favourite Jay of all time, and maybe my favourite non-Red Sox player this century. He pitched like a magician.

And so a plane crash claims the life of another baseball player piloting his own plane. Very sad news how could you not like him.

2000-2009, as a starter, he’s only second to Pedro for me. I’m trying to think of anyone bettter... Lee, Sabthia, Felix... ?

He was the reason anybody cared about baseball in Toronto for a decade. Probably the greatest Jay of all time.

Huge loss, and just so sad.

Like Pedro and Sale right now, his starts were something to make a point of watching because of how in control over what he wanted to do and able to make hitters look foolish. As I said above, he was a magician.

Pedro said the same on the radio this morning. He said he watched Halladay "like a fan" from the opposing dugout.
