I've gone erect. Bring on 2017.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

How about NO, and we institute a moratorium on rich writer-socialite Brooklyn Dodgers truthers being allowed to switch 'lovable loser' affiliations trendily after-the-fact then chew up an hour of screentime ponderously explaining why bandwagoneering is as American as War. Also, George Will isn't available anymore because he's now a crazy derelict roaming the streets of Georgetown scouring garbage dumpsters for discarded bipartisanship he can never find.

But George has been storing up perfect counters between the Cubs' century of socialist failure versus the insights of Milton Friedman and the University of Chicago School of Economics, along with the links between the curse of the billy goat and the curse of FDR's court-packing scheme.

I could see doing this for the Padres, but the Cubs?

Story idea: Ken Burns has his entire family kidnapped. The perpetrators order him to produce an eight-hour documentary on the San Diego Padres or else they will die. Can he save them? And if he does, will he still exist in any meaningful sense?

You know, the Padres' 40-year struggle for relevance is a lot like the Brooklyn Dodgers. . .

After assembling 45 minutes of material, a panicked Burns just throws in shots of Ebbets Field and Billy Crystal.

He's not even sure if he's interviewing Branford or Winton Marsalis at this point. For all he knows, it's Julianna Margulies.
