I'll probably give this a spin, at least for an episode or two. Even tho I'm fairly well versed in the story, just as narrative the whole thing is remarkable, the drip drip drip revelations that revealed the rogue operations being run out of the White House. Rick Perlstein's last book captured it quite well, that this shit is actually happening? quality to Watergate.

That Slate series that I mention above has concluded but I've just started listening. So far, not bad in that the focus seems to be on the less-remembered bits of the whole shit nuttery. They do well to remind that at the time, no one knew how far up it went and how it would turn out. It's a simple thing, but historical work often misses that aspect of the lived experience.

My sister recommended this one to me, on aspects of the batshit year 1968: https://heatandlightpod.com

I won't begin listening to it until tomorrow, having finally finished that boring-ass John Quincy Adams bio.

It dawns on me that this crowd might enjoy Mic Dicta, America's Best Named Legal Podcast, which unfortunately dissolved a few weeks ago, but there's 20 excellent episodes of a bunch of liberal lawyers dissecting, mocking, and commiserating about the sorry shitstorm that was the trump administration. Think Chapo Trap House with a more legal bent and a significantly higher amount of alcohol consumption: https://soundcloud.com/micdicta
