I want to point out that his performance in Twin Peaks was absolutely amazing. There is a harrowing scene (semi-spoiler free) where he shares a moment with a horrified, grieving woman that is quite literally the greatest acting achievement I've ever seen. His face barely moves, but whatever imperceptible movements tell a story unable to be told with words. He was a master of the craft and there will never be another like him.
