Sweet action for kids 'n' cretins. Marjoram and capers.

Thanksgiving is extremely good, fam. Happy turkey day to all, even the haters and losers.

We went out for dinner this year and I think that could be a new tradition.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

As a holiday treat, here's a lossless rip of Ray Davies' Thanksgiving Day EP from my personal collection. Now out of print and, from my looking, not easily streamable.

At my cousin's out in Trailerparksville (Lakeville), MA. Passed a gigantic "Trump 2020" flag waving from a pickup truck parked on someone's front lawn on the main road. :twitch:

Anyway, 3 members of my family are home sick with the demon shits, so I know what communicable contagion I get to be thankful for this family gathering. X(

With friends instead of family this year and it rules.

One thing I truly appreciate about the IMCT community, it's that so many of us vastly prefer friends to family, and sharing that view isn't heretical.

I've realised I don't even know what Thanksgiving is. Is it a bit like our Harvest festival? I could google it but can you just describe it in five words?

Basically, yeah. Canada has Thanksgiving about a month earlier, marking the time when the crop should all be off the field. Not sure why it's so late in the US.

It's the celebration of the colonists' genocide of the natives, and eating onesself into a coma before standing in line outside the mall at midnight to riot for doorbuster Xmas shopping deals. Oh, and the Dallas Cowboys always play for some reason.

Overheard at the dinner table:

"I had no idea [great] grandpa was missing the tip of his tongue. All I remember is how he liked to stick his tongue in our ears as a gag."
