We beach the beachheads other armies cannot beach

I had the honor of dining and drinking Ethiopian beer with Spiff this evening. This makes 3 meets, Flex, Beaneater and now Spiff.

Tell me more about Ethiopian beer.
Well I've had better and I've had worse. I was initially intrigued by an Ethiopian stout that was on the menu but they were out of that. The owner of the restaurant gave me a bottle of the 3 types of beer they did have. My eyesight is starting to go south so I couldn't read the labels very well nor recall their names. One seemed like a wheat beer light and a bit cloudy looking. Somewhat spicy sweet. The other two would fall under the generic mass produced lager/pilsner variety.

The food was good and the company was excellent, it has already been noted by several board members that Spiff is a cool dude.

That's 3 board meets for me now; Flex , BBE and now Spiff.
Still heading west?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Cool pic, Rev and Spiff.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Yeah cool meetup with Spiff, I propose that the name of the thread be charged to something more generic as in get rid of the Pacific Northwest part so it can be just a regular meetup thread.

Oh, Kaleb's been bragging about that encounter for years.
