Been avoiding this thread/spoilers until finishing last night.

Dustin was my fav too.
Barb was a freckly ginger, obvs why no one wanted to bang her and why her parents didn't care about her leaving town (on bus as tep astutely pointed out).
Winona Ryder was not very good in the show which made me find her less attractive for the first time ever.
Show was good, not earth shatteringly great.
The opening credits were amazing.

I'm glad you said that, I almost forgot. A teenager who OWNS A FUCKING CAR would surely drop that car off at a bus station, purchase a bus ticket and leave town with no luggage. Who needs a car when a bus can drop you off anywhere and then you can walk for the rest of your life? No need to investigate.
