I hope he’s not upset at me for the Wire stuff.
Who've you been garrotting?
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Where's Doc? Has someone pissed him off in one of the megaball threads I don't read?
I don't know mate I was wondering the same. Don't think anyone has pissed him off though I don't read all the treads. I hope he's ok and magically reappears soon.

I didn't know we had a dedicated tyre thread?
Hey man it's a good year.

Yeah I realize that probably 90% of my board participation was probably with Doc and the other 10 was/is a combination of telling Heston he's wrong about _____ , making fun of soccer in general, robot stuff about Flex, squirrel stuff about Beaner and basically agreeing with Jenny, Marky and a few others, oh and booze/food related stuff.

I can't believe he would let that bother him. That joke is so old now and it's one of our mutual digs and deserves it's own anniversary.

For reasons of his own, Doc's decided to go. I'm very, very sad about the fact.
Just read this post. WTF this is shitty news. The guy has been very cool to me over the years. I hope he's well and all is good health wise. It won't be the same here without him. :meh:

Rumours of my departure weren’t wrong, but it turns out they were also premature. I’ll spare the details, but the kind notes from many people here, plus advice from others has persuaded me that my instinct or habit of walking away (well, fleeing) from problems rather than facing up to them just exacerbates my own issues. And it’s foolish to leave a community and a lot of really good people I care about, and from whom I derive a great deal of pleasure and insight thru our interactions, due to some isolated negativity.

So, going forward, I’m seeking to be more positive and constructive, emphasizing the good while pushing aside the bad. Further to that, I want people to know that if I ever say anything in the course of a discussion that is hurtful or disregarding to anyone here in any way, please call me on it, publicly or privately. If I'm being a shit to someone, I should be humbled for it. I'm very serious about that. Life’s too short and this community’s too fine to let people feel diminished.
