I always get a bit scared when I see a new "most ever users" record broken because I believe the first time I noticed the thing was on one of the old boards when Joe died.

Actually, the all-time record was a planned event. We did a "Satch's Day" for Joe's B-day one year instead of the usual violent street brawl in a DCT thread. Set a mark of a little under 200 simultaneous. And everyone was all happy and felt like they'd accomplished something.

Then like 3 days later the board crashed and reset the counter to 0. And we were like "Auuuuuuuuugh...WTF, Inder! " Fitting in its own way.
