I'm boosting this thread up from 77 posts to 78 to ask all you guys to go see the great hommage just recently written by Mike Dolan from the Turbo AC's to Hellboy :

http://alltalkallactionftw.blogspot.com ... la_01.html

It's a moving tribute with great pics. I won't say more, Mike writing speak by itself.

That's a very nice tribute, and it's good to get to know a bit more about him. He's still very much missed around here.
So what does Marconi playing the mamba mean? "Marconi" is referring to the radio itself. It plays a deadly snake. The snake - the mamba - is slithering from the speakers. Ready to kill greedy corporations. Ready to free the world of all that is evil, and to leave behind only the youthful idealism encompassed by the tenets of rock and roll.

Of course, I don't actually speak French, but from what I can tell, tomorrow makes it a full year.

Facebook tribute to hellboy here

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=14264662855

I took the freedom of copy pasting a couple of Hellboy stories from this board to there, enjoy, I guess I'm going from time to time when I'm free and nostalgic, to dvelve into those 1977 messages (!) for the next few years. Better than having Hellboy totally gone.

Funny, someone noticed Nikola went out on the same date Ian Curtis did --

Here's a fitting tribute to Hellboy and another great mind we all like. A small clip to ponder. What could be on the other side ? Enjoy.

We miss you too Nikola

I've been out of town. I'll check on this in a bit.

I'm bumping this one up, there's a video on youtube from the -nikola acin tribute- at the Gibus last year, where the lead singer of the prostitutes sings guns of brixton, check it out it's great. I'll try to find the video of Train in Vain, sung by Lauren, Mick Jones daughter, later.

Woke up thinking of him.
"The only thing that really occurs to me that I can say on this is to point out how fascinating it is that the Hassan-i-Sabbah archetype keeps turning up over and over again ... He disappears up into the mountains and is never seen again. Believe me, he'll never be seen again. He'll live forever because of that."
