'Suppose it's worth posting this thread over here now that we're back and this was his stompin' grounds. He will be missed a lot.

Very true. I am quite saddened we can't dig through his old posts.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

It is a shame that a good one has fallen. He was a good soul. :(

I've posted in the other thread(s), but I'll reiterate: RIP to one of the coolest cats I've known (if only digitally).

I miss the old boy. Beware those mighty yetis up in rocknroll heaven, buddy.

Yeah, this news really sucks. My step-grandfather died last week, and I am far more saddened by this. RIP Hellboy, you will be missed.

I've been dwelling on mortality lately. We're all on course for a return to the soil sooner or later. Old Hellboy did some good living. Same thing for Strummer. I'd rather die young and full of experiences than old and safe.

I have a big time bug up my ass and want to smash stuff.

RIP Hellboy.

I hope it's not out of line to ask, but does anyone know what happened yet? I mean, he was a young guy.
