Pre-Great Board Crash of 08 Posts

Post by matedog »

How do I access these?

I need to dig up a certain thread involving a member of Clash II for a friend.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I got to the page but couldn't click on any actual threads. Someone had posted before links to the old board I thought.

I wish we could get all those posts back. I'm the type who likes to look back on all my older posts periodically...I wanna see all those posts I made when I first joined, like all those posts I made glorifying Sting back in summer '07. I'd like to see exactly what drew me to him...

I need to get rid of this NOSTALGIA.....

(p.s. I'm listening to the Police right now... :disshame: )

Remember what I predicted about you and the Happy Mondays?
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

It doesn't count, cos I liked the Police & Sting and then I started hating them

And with the Mondays I hated them and then started liking them.

There's a difference... But your prediction of me eventually liking the Mondays, was, indeed, correct. ;)

EDIT: Eumaas, why do you know me so well??

Hey Inder, I'd posted a rather long entry about my two personal encounters with Lux Interior that I'd like to re-post here in one of the R.I.P. threads.

Do you think you could drag that post up for me and PM the text to me?

I'd be very grateful.

Sorry Mate -- the last backup was before the QFVW thread.

Spiff -- I'll have a look and get back to you.

I'll also see if I can set up the archive as a read-only thing sometime soon.
