Oh, Kaleb Higson is a writer who posted here from 2006 - 2009. He's written a few books that went on the NYT bestselling list, my favourite was the unofficial sequel to the Virginian. He always seemed like a cool dude to me, but people teased him a little too hard about his liking Billy Joel. I think he left after a rant against the board which was later deleted, must have been pretty drunk at the time which gave birth to the Kaleb's Girlfriend meme. I think he's based in Nova Scotia?

He's a real person who used to frequent this board regularly. He's an incredibly witty and brilliant writer and satirist. I have actually met him in person and he's a really good guy. To get a better idea, I would follow him on Twitter @kalebhorton.

Oh, right, Horton, yeah.

He was 72 during the Dust Bowl, which is when he moved to California.
