IMCT II is 10!
IMCT II is 10!
Just noticed that the 10 year anniversary of post-crash IMCT is coming up on June 14th.

Ten glorious years of ruining our lives!
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

I sometimes wish I could go back and read my tankie posts.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

What the fuck happened again? I would love a potted history of what went on. Did the name change happen earlier? I can't remember fuck all.

Holy shit, IMCT I is 10 threads were six years ago.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

As I remember it,
99ish?-00/01 β Steve has message board "Satch's Forums."
00/01 β a fellow named gippah runs the board, has massive falling out with everyone and deletes it.
01ish? β Inder and Steve bring Satch's back online; the original IMCT boot repository comes online.
03 β IMCT mp3 server shut down by The Man; user "matedog" begins posting reprehensible food and music opinions.
04-05? β Inder takes executive decision to rebrand Satch's Forums to "If Music Could Talk", with "Red Sox Fans Talk About The Clash" a close second in a poll.
08 β original host/server is kaput; IMCT comes back on new server.

I remember when we all squatted at SNews while we were waiting for the new server.

I forgot it happened in 2008, the worst year of my life (to date).

Where did that time go?
That means we have been here almost 20 years since Satchβs days

We were like a plague of cancerous locusts. I know I immediately made a lifelong friend of some museum person hyperventilating into a paper bag over my claim that Wikipedia isn't 183% lies.

They were just sitting around, sharing stories of what Joe was wearing when he visited them in their dreams, and then some guy talking about the quality of his morning shit and Springsteen shows up.101Walterton wrote: β10 May 2018, 4:32pmWe were like gate crashers at a party at your parents house whilst they are on holiday.Dr. Medulla wrote: β10 May 2018, 4:19pmWe were like a plague of cancerous locusts.
