People with a better memory can correct me on any erroneous details, but this was Vince's adieu to the board, but directed specifically at me under my previous user name (Hookworm). He was boasting about being a free thinker but then went on about how the New World was filled with ignorant savages until Europeans came and brought light to their cavelike brains. The first paragraph was him quoting me calling him on his bullshit. Unfortunately the board's server melted down not long after that, so we've lost all his wonderful contributions, but someone (Ratty would be a good bet) rescued that last post via Google's automatic archiving system.
It truly was a turning point in our collective history. Our innocence was lost that day, almost as lost as your throat could have been.
And within two years, Inder was committing more and more troops to Vietnam. :disshame:
Release the Vincegate tapes.
I hope nobody Vincescapes.

best thing that ever happened on this board imho
It has to be, it sums up everything about this clutterfuck place in one post.
It's either that, or the time Mitch Williams' brother-in-law dug up a 3-year-old post and threatened to sue Wolt.

That was so beautifully random. I remember Jen asked him his opinion of Wire, which was perfectly out-of-nowhere.

I just went over his Wiki page, and lol-a-rama:
Williams retired from baseball to operate a bowling establishment outside Philadelphia.

...

In 1996, the MLB All-Star game was held in Philadelphia. The network broadcasting the game set up a bowling match between Williams and Carter at Williams' own lanes. Before the match Williams jokingly stated that Carter had no chance to win because Williams played every day. Williams did not know that Carter had been a talented bowler growing up. Carter got to the bowling alley and on his first warm up roll took a couple steps, spun around 180 degrees and rolled the ball between his legs, backwards, for a strike. Carter won the match handily.

 All it needed was Schilling watching the match with a towel over his head.

Didn't Chris threaten to sue someone (may have been rcs) because he said he 'd only seen the Clash II and not the real line up.

I don't get it. I mean the basis of the potential lawsuit.

That's the real answer, but the cover story was that CK said the other guy (it wasn't rcs; I think the guy's handle was robberdub) libelled him during the argument and that this would negatively affect CK's earning potential. Something like that. It was crazier than the squirrels running loose in CK's head.
