Apparently I joined 5 Jan 03, so I was part of the immediate post-Joe wave. I must have been heavily into lurking (very good chance) or inattentive to board happenings.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop

Interesting to have a glimpse to the history and prehistory of the board! It seems the same issues have been debated from the Jurassic period up to..., hmm, late 2007 and early 2008 when the DCT died. I joined in March 2007, so I had the chance to witness only the last rounds of DCT battles.
It would be interesting if some kind veteran could write out a timeline or short history of Satch's / IMCT forums and perhaps the other interlinked communities. Rattie's account on the events on this thread was poetic, but directed largely to the already enlightened members of this board.
I wish the old database could be saved from the oblivion somehow. After I joined, I managed to go through the old Last Gang threads way back to early-2004 / mid-2003. I remember I had some 20 pages left out of the total, approximately 75, when the board went down last May. It sounds crazy, but I would like to go through the rest of them. And the Network and Shouting Street threads too.

You scared the living shit out of us with your 4/1 re-enactment of Gippah's suicide note, too.
EDIT: Wait...wasn't there an Avril Lavigne switcheroo that had people threatening to skin you alive one year?
