Hey buds

Post by Silent Majority » 22 Dec 2016, 2:37pm

I hate to ask.

The Mrs just lost her job two weeks ago and because of the nature of my work, I needed to be thoroughly screened before I started mine, so we're hurtling towards January's rent and bills on just a week's salary. If you can spare anything at all, we've got about 400 quid to make up, and while I'm hustling as hard as I can at every possible avenue and pulling double shifts, you'd be doing me the greatest possible favour if you dropped a couple pounds into my paypal jamesmurphy003@gmail.com

Please don't feel obligated. I feel horrible and ridiculous to ask anything of my friends. Once we're over January, my salary as a carer will cover us scraping through and I know my Ni will get a job really soon.

I don't really know how to finish up on this. I feel like a dick.

I can affirm that James isn't as unpleasant in real life as he must come across online and helping him out in a scrape is hardly the dumbest use of a few bucks we could all come up with.

I'm a bit rushed for time and will write all you incredibly generous souls individually but just want to say that your kindness made me cry. Thank you so so so much.

Just to quickly say that thanks to the amazing kindness of my friends at IMCT, the Mrs and I are having a fantastic stress free Christmas day (cos I'm at work to tomorrow afternoon). Luckily we got the booze and most of the presents in advance so it's not too affected. We've got enough now for rent and food and no more donations are needed, thank you very very much.

I'm feeling emotional today - as I just wrote to Marky, I genuinely feel like I've been a part of a Christmas miracle - cos a miracle comes from the love and good deeds of people you love, not Santa or Jesus. January will be a month of Heston style super noodles for dinner, but we'll have a roof overhead, no new debt, and enough cash to run our electric heater. To repeat, we'll be just fine come February on just my salary and I'm sure Ni will be in work by then too.

Jenny, we got your contribution thank you. As I said, I'll write everyone individually by email by the 27th. Know that if I can ever do anything at all for my friends here, I'll break my back to do it.

Thank you again. Merry Christmas.

Good to hear that things have stabilized, James.

Good riddance to 2016, eh?

Best wishes for a happier new year for you and Ni.

I agree with what Spiff said. And I value this community so much. I'm glad that with all of our differences (and by differences, I mean that Hoy is always wrong), we are truly there for each other. We have all had our dark times, and I know that we can count on each other.

I would have pitched a few quid in but I don't have a PayPal account. So glad you're sorted mate, and there's nowt wrong with Supernoodles.
So what does Marconi playing the mamba mean? "Marconi" is referring to the radio itself. It plays a deadly snake. The snake - the mamba - is slithering from the speakers. Ready to kill greedy corporations. Ready to free the world of all that is evil, and to leave behind only the youthful idealism encompassed by the tenets of rock and roll.

I agree with all of this. Several of y'all helped us out with Jackson's therapies recently and it is appreciated so much. Y'all are all good eggs in my book.

Except for Flex. He knows why.
