Get drunk the night before and sleep through it?

Fantastic! Okay, we gots two—you and Beaneater—and maybe three if Lady Jortsville can be persuaded. One or two more would be better, from personal experience. C'mon, if you're reading stuff anyway, may as well read about both the rock and the roll!

I can't make guarantees that I'll keep up, but I'm willing to make the attempt.

That's a handy role to play. When someone is of the group but not present, the rest of the group get to attribute laughable opinions to that person. Okay, you're in.

BTW, we don't have to do this every week. If it's easier for setting aside time to read, every two weeks is fine with me. As well, if people stumble across something they think would be cool to read, it can be added or substitute for something else. There's a book on white kids and hip hop that I wanted to assign this year, but I was trying to balance articles and books both for expense and page count, so it missed the cut. What I'm saying is, this stuff works best when it's really participatory all around. I'm glad to contribute my syllabus, but it's not the unalterable be all.

2nd BTW, I'll upload the materials this afternoon and send the link to those involved so far.

I suspect most people are in a comparable boat and I can appreciate that. No worries.
Sadly, it sounds awesome but I'm honestly up to my nipples in my animation course and shouldn't have even been here as often as I have been today.

I don't know why I chose to use my nipples as a yardstick, and I apologize for the traumatic image.
I was imagining your nipples and it wasn't the least bit traumatic.

And I like the idea of this Doc but i already have some edjumacational commitments in addition to everything else. I'll enjoy reading some of people's comments though I'm sure.

Thanks for the thread bump, Monsignor Bob. I'll make this a last call before figuring out the hows and whens.

I'm sorry to miss out on this, mate. I'm aiming to commit myself to my own degree 100 percent, because that's a new and interesting look for me. I know I'd enjoy the hell out of the experience too.

There's some unfortunate timing with both you and Gene going back to school this fall. We'll definitely be the poorer for your absence.

Between our respective studies and engagements, Gene's totally stealing my riffs.

Matey needs to start up some further education as well, so as to join the club.

I've been taking online courses in 3D animation off-an-on for almost 2 years now. Does that count?

Jesus, what a collection of parasitical students you all are. No wonder the Muslims/homosexual/socialists/immigrants are destroying society.

(3-D animation? I wince at the thought of how much patience and precision is required. I'd be forced to drop out before the tuition cheque cleared.)
