Hello eeryone! It's been a while since I've posted on here. I hope you are all doing well..
I wanted to let you know about my new project "London 1976" - an art, music and education project which endeavors to celebrate the spirit & ethos of British punk on its 40th anniversary next year.
The London 1976 Project involves an array of things one of which is my first live performance in Manchester this November since I did Metal Box in Dub back in 2012. I will preview my film as well as my artwork there and will also perform live. There will probably also be a reading from either my "I Was a Teenage Guitarist for the Clash" book or my new one called "The Post Punk Years."
Another interesting aspect is the "London 1976 Institute" which will be an on line educational program for young artists & musicians that will be launched in 2016. I've been in this industry since the 1970s & have launched a number of projects completely DIY. I feel it's time now for me to share what I've learned in the hopes that it will help others who find the business challenging.
If you want to learn more about this project please refer to the links below...share this information with anyone you think might be interested including any students for the institute.
Thanks for your attention. I hope to see 1 or 2 of you in Manchester this November. It should be fun!
