Everyone needs to give Long, Long, Long a decent listen. It's the best George song on the LP and does not deserve to go out so early. Great lyric (not too preachy, which was often a weakness for George); great dynamics; a fantastic ending combining a wine bottle vibrating off of McCartney's Hammond, a tight drum roll from Ringo, and a disembodied wail from George. It's a really effective song. Understated, yes...but not deserving of an early exit.

I've tried to get into it but it's just a little dull and slow for me though the build up isn't bad but it can't save it getting my vote here.WestwayKid wrote: ↑15 Jan 2021, 2:51pmEveryone needs to give Long, Long, Long a decent listen. I've tried, I really have. This album has had loads of spins from me over the years and I still can't get into at least half of it. This is one of about 12 songs where I forget how they go if I haven't played the album for a while.BitterTom wrote: ↑15 Jan 2021, 3:37pmI've tried to get into it but it's just a little dull and slow for me though the build up isn't bad but it can't save it getting my vote here.WestwayKid wrote: ↑15 Jan 2021, 2:51pmEveryone needs to give Long, Long, Long a decent listen. There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I love Long, Long, Long, but love all the others just a bit more.

This is my opinion on a lot of this album, which I apparently like a lot more than a lot if folks on here.

Sorry, long long long is the obvious loser here.
