The Beatles - Side B - Round 1

I really dislike "Don't Pass Me By" and I hope it's the first track to go.

Ringo's out a tune warbling is too much to take. The screeching violin is just icing on a bad cake.

I adore Don’t Pass Me By, but unlike some people defending a fucking reprise I know it won’t last long.

This is my first time hearing most of these songs. I love the "let's double track to cover up his shitty voice" approach of "Don't Pass Me By." I don't have much of an opinion on these songs, so I might not vote. This song isn't terrible for me at least relative to the shit on Side A.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Rocky and Tired already have a vote? Those are the only 2 good songs here!

Rocky Racoon. Dull, don't like the faux-Western accent and seems to drag on forever.

As a side though, I really liked this one.

I went with Rocky for the same reasons. It's actually irritating to listen to.

It's certainly not the worst here.

No votes for why Don't We Do It in the Road? At least their filler was listenable earlier in their career.

I quite like this one, it's not the most inspiring but a good fun tune.

Julia needs to win this round, though I'm sure it will come down to that track and Blackbird. They're both incredible tracks, but Julia is better.

Probably not a popular opinion but Martha is my favourite on this side. Exquisite arrangement and I love the way the vocal wanders down different avenues in the middle. It comes up a bit short lyrically but tunes come first with me.

Blackbird is a bit too I'll Follow the Sun-ish for me, and that song got short shrift earlier in the thread.

This might be my single favorite side of wax the beatles ever out together. Top songs.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
