You should check out there Peel Sessions as well particuraly the version of 'Suzanne' also love their cover of 'Kidney Bingos'

You should check out there Peel Sessions as well particuraly the version of 'Suzanne' also love their cover of 'Kidney Bingos'

Yeah, it's nice to not have a list full of 10 bands that sound exactly the same. For my part, I recommend those first couple of For Against records, if you haven't heard them. I put them more in post-punk territory, but they're pretty interesting.

They're a bit on the pop side of post-punk—the bands that wound up being New Wave stars, though these guys never did, and I don't think they wanted to. The real work to check out is their EP, In the Marshes.

I started with their compilation album Soundpool. It combines their first two EPs, if I'm not mistaken. Really great instrumental tunes.
